Mike Trout Robs JJ Hardy Of A Home Run The Los Angeles Angels are on fire right now as they close in on the AL West leading Texas Rangers. And a big part of that is the play of their young, superstar in the making Mike Trout. Yesterday the Angels were in Baltimore playing the Orioles and Trout put on a show in the outfield. The O’s J.J. Hardy was at the plate facing Jared Weaver. Hardy got ahold of a Weaver curveball and sent it deep into centerfield for what looked like a sure home run. But the youngster playing centerfield had other ideas. As the ball sailed toward the wall, Mike Trout made a leaping catch that would have made even Willie Mays proud Trout went way over the wall for the catch and brought the ball back for an out. J.J. Hardy should have reported Mike Trout to the police because that catch was total robbery!! The best part of this story is that Mike Trout’s family was there at Camden Yards watching him play. They drove the two hours from Millville, NJ to Baltimore. Mike’s father Jeff has to be the proudest dad in America right … .
This is one of those catches you don’t see too often. .
